The Church of Transfiguration

The Date: Sept. 2015 – THE FEAST OF TABERNACLE 9.27.-10.4.15 – My 1st Pilgrimage to Israel – The Place : MOUNT TABOR.

One of the most significant places in the Holy Land, Mount Tabor is an important site for Jews And Christians – the Feast of the Transfiguration is Sunday, August 6, 2023. It's history goes back to the time of Christ, but in the 6th Century several Christian churches occupied this spot, which was later destroyed by the Persians; then rebuilt in the 11th Century by the Crusaders; then destroyed again during the Muslim conquest of 1187. The Church of the Transfiguration was built by the Franciscans in 1924. In size it is one of the largest and most important sites connecting the OT & NT in the Holy Land – The Crown Jewel of Judaism. & Christianity. Be Blessed.

My Story: Waking up early in the morning, overlooking the Sea of Galilee, reading the Bible and shaking the Lulav & Etrog for the Feast of Tabernacle – the reason of my first Pilgrimage to the Holy Land. After a great kosher Breakfast, we drove up the windy road to our Destination : Mount Tabor. My camera quit working just after entering the Church of the Transfiguration. Many Pilgrims were visiting but suddenly everyone was gone at the same time. Looking up, on the Ceiling I see YESHUA / JESUS with MOSES & ELIJAH Matthew 17:1 : Jesus took Peter, James and his brother, John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light. Peter said to Yeshua / Jesus : LORD, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents (Sukkahs) here, one for YOU, one for MOSES and one for ELIJAH.
The night before our visit to Mount TABOR, I had a dream about a man in brown clothing; suddenly I see the man in my dream coming out of the left corner of the Church! I was shocked & excited since I had seen him in my dream. He was the Franciscan Monk who is the caretaker of Mount Tabor. We chatted for a few minutes, took some more pictures including one overlooking the Jezreel Valley. Then we drove back down the mountain to find another Church where Jesus / YESHUA rose the son of the widow of Nain... see next Story –

(also recorded in Matthew 17:5 & in 2 Peter 1:17 : For He received from GOD THE FATHER honor and glory when there came such a voice to Him from the Excellent Glory: This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased..
